Screengrabs of WAR MACHINE (together with IRON MAN / brightened in photoshop by yours truly ;p) from the newly-released IRON MAN 2 Trailer [via Apple.com]. Cool to see Tony's new triangle-shaped chest-piece / arc-light ~ *Awesome*
JIM RHODES PAWS THE MARK-2 ARMOR (who wouldn't, right?): IRON MAN & WAR MACHINE ARMOR-UP: IRON MAN & WAR MACHINE IN ACTION: (Don't know about you folks, but the mecha they are fighting reminds me of S.H.I.E.L.D's "Mandroids"... haha)
Screengrabs (brightened in photoshop by yours truly ;p) of WHIPLASH from the newly-released IRON MAN 2 Trailer [via Apple.com]. Note that the images montaged below may not be in-sequence of the trailer, as I'd wanted to see Whiplash's armor/exoskeleton in detail instead :p
(I like it that what Whiplash is doing here mirrors what Tony did for Mark-1 in Iron Man 1)
The new Trailer for Iron Man 2 has debut on Apple.com! Featuring Whiplash and War Machine in action! And also a look at the new trangular-shaped "Arc-Reactor" chest-piece design on the Iron Man armor. (Screengrabs forthcoming)
SuperHeroHype has posted a teaser preview of Entertainment Tonight, which shows War Machine in action! And by the "magic" of photoshop, here's some select screengrabs (montaged & brightened!), featuring Iron Man and War Machine fighting side-by-side!

"Tony Stark" trying to pull a "Bruce Banner" with that "Don't make me angry ... you wouldn't like me to be angry"-look ~ in this brand new IRON MAN 2 International Poster image, featuring Stark in the Mark-3 Iron Man armor (or perhaps they've upgraded for the sequel) sans face-helmet ... or a simple foreshadowing of the story where we see the man behind the iron mask? We have til 2010 to speculate ...

TONY: Everything I touch crashes and burns... *billionaire-emo-moment* RHODES: Dude, go learn some proper Russian, instead of just "Vodka", yeh? ... Mickey Rourke is Ivan Vanko / Whiplash: This version of the character also includes elements of Crimson Dynamo from the comics. In the film, he will be the son of Russian scientist Anton Vanko, who, in the comics, is the original Crimson Dynamo and creator of said armor ... Rourke researched for the part by visiting Butyrka prison. He suggested half of the character's dialogue be in Russian. [info via wiki]
Sideshow Toys offers up a Comic-Con Exclusive GUNMETAL GREY color variant Iron Man Mark 3 1/6 action figure by Hot Toys for the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con in July! Looking abso-cool in gunmetal grey (duh) and a little battle-damaged distressed treatment for that extra awesome-touch, IMHO. I've been following the Gunmetal Grey Mark 3 for a while on my TRE-Blog, and this is the first time the images are fully revealed by Sideshow. (Full product specs to come during order period).
Two ways to pre-order this sweetness: via Comic-Con ATTENDEE and NON-ATTENDEE (Attendee = pickup at Comic Con itself / Non = delivered to you). And if you've not ordered from SSC, there is a slight price difference.
Order Dates / Price: - ATTENDEE Priority Pre-Orders begin this Thursday, May 21st 2009, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM (Pacific Time) - Priced at US$179.99 - NON-ATTENDEE Priority Pre-Orders begin this Friday, May 22nd 2009, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM (Pacific Time) - Priced at US$189.99
Loads of folks have alluded this to being "War Machine", but I reckon if there would be one, it would be a screen-accurate version - IF and/or when it appears in Iron Man 2, IMHO :)
USA Today unveils the first "official" image from IRON MAN 2 [via MovieWeb] showing the illustrious inventor billionaire in the foreground (probably twittering and stressed that folks have been un-following him) and a row of Iron Man armor variants in the background = *COOL*
Robert Downey Jr. returns as billionaire "Tony Stark" aka Iron Man (no secret identity issues here, as he outed himself in the first movie). Reoccurring characters include Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper-"I-nearly-slept-with-my-boss"-Potts, and Samuel L. Jackson as guest-star-at-credits'-end "Nick Fury" of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Terrance Howard has been replaced by Don Cheadle as "Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes" (aka "War Machine" in the comics). Amidst all the internet-rumours swirling thus far (I read but not post) - the sequel seemed to have taken on a more Soviet-flavour with the inclusion of Scarlett Johansson as super-spy "Natasha Romanoff" aka Black Widow, and Mickey Rourke as "Ivan" aka Whiplash (not Crimson Dynamo as everyone had hoped, it seems. And "Whiplash" is a woman in the comics). Sam Rockwell rounds out the "villains" as fellow-billionaire and Stark-Industries-competitor "JustinHammer". [All info via IM2-IMDB credits].
Will be updating both TOYSREVIL and this dedicated-movie fanblog with anything and everything IRON MAN 2 movie and toy news to come - leading up to the film's premiere in 2010. PM me info and news at firstname.lastname@example.org :)
